Printing Inks
Bluebird offers two varieties of printing inks. Safe wash printing inks made with vegetable oils and water based ink which is acrylic based.
Cranfield Safe Wash Inks: These Artist quality printing inks are made using vegetable oils so you can wash them away with soap and water rather than having to use solvents. These inks are made using high-quality pigments rather than dyes so they offer excellent lightfastness ideal for lino, block printing, etching etc. Caligo inks have all the characteristics of traditional oil based printing inks, but with the added benefit of simple soap and water clean up. These inks all carry the AP approved mark so they are non toxic and suitable for use by children.
Cranfield Water Based Inks: An acrylic based printing ink that offers a slow dry formula, allowing for a variety of block/relief printing techniques. With a flexible acrylic base, these inks will adhere to most surfaces and once dried are water resistant. They can be applied to fabric but low temperatures are recommended.
Printing Accessories
We offer a variety of printing accessories including leather and soft cut lino sheets. These are available in various sizes. We also provide a variety of lino cutting tools with various blade sizes and types.
Rubber Rollers are available in a variety of lengths and diameters.
